Thanks for the new thread, Karen, but I'm afraid that the ring numbers are the reverse of what you reported. The oldest is ringed KA4 and the youngest is KA0. It is confusing, but that happened, much like last year, when one ring did not glue properly so the order was changed. Please see the Glaslyn blog: www.glaslynwildlife.co.uk/.../

Birdie, Yes, that is a cowpat! The others looked at Aran as if to say, 'Doesn't look much like a fish to me!' KA0 was nibbling at the cowpat a bit later on today. No idea why--anyone else have a suggestion?!
