The season so far: Telyn (Blue 3J) arrived back 30 March and Monty on 1 April. Telyn laid 3 eggs 17, 20 and 23 April hatching 26, 27 and 29 May. The three chicks were ringed and named on 28 June as follows: #1 Blue KA1 (F) “Berthyn”, #2 Blue KA2 (M) “Peris” and #3 Blue KA3 (M) “Hesgyn”.

Peris & Berthyn
Unknown said: it’s Hesgyn not Peris.
Duh !!! I've also misinformed one of our precious posters that Peris fledged, too! How strange when I originally said Hesgyn, weird! I think I've corrected all the wrong names, thank you for the essential correction, ALISON :)))
IMAGICAT
I was out all day so have been looking at catch up to find Hesgyn's fledge - I think Hesgyn arranged for cam operator to be absent when he 'fledged' with a stick to cam post (I'm sure all will be revealed tomorrow from other cams).
I eventually found Hesgyn on the birch perch looking perfectly happy and in swoops Peris to land on his younger brother's back! Reminded me of when they were bobs and Bob 2 would pick on Bob 3! Usually big sis Bob 1 would beat up Bob 2 so he'd stop going for Bobby Bach.
And shortly after this unprovoked incident, there is big sister Berthyn sitting next to Hesgyn as if protecting him from naughty Peris sitting on the other side of the perch!

What a great sequence, too! :o
The same performance also took place on the other side of the perch - it was distant so you couldn't tell who was who, I did think it was a precocious male trying it out on Telyn before I saw your informative pictures, BIRDSONG :)
YESTERDAY 21 JULY - "not necessarily in the right order", as Eric would say ;)
Two didn't fit comfortably for long:
Must have come from above the cam?
