EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
I'm starting from 21:00 last night.
Very nice, nearly-whole FISH!
The chicks weren't ravenous:
Pre-flyabout stretch:
Return:
A warning to an unseen presence - she stayed looking out that way for some time:
She kept alert:
And looked a glamorous Mama:
Flyabout:
Getting ready for another flyabout:
The first breakfish offering was not greeted with much interest:
After the usual long buffer around 04:00, Aila reappeared pottering around and around the nest, sorting sticks:
EDIT prompted by IAN's correction below.
I had claimed that Louis arrived fishless, but he came with a fish-piece:
Then flew off with last night's:
Aila had a nice sit-down and doze with her chicks:
One chick had a couple of bites from the spare fish-piece:
Aila had another flyabout and returned with an invisible twig ???
I can't tell the difference between the chicks - not that I've tried much lately.
Aila has just returned from another flyabout and disturbed one of the chicks, who's now getting ready for a poop, I'll leave it there.
EDIT - No I won't, as there's another complete hour ready.
Aila had a preen:
Then fed both chicks but neither ate much:

Calm morning

Ian S said:Looks like Louis arrived at 04.18, with a tiny bit of fish. I don't know if it was new. Ian
