The season so far: Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. Maya laid 4 eggs 2, 5, 8 and 11 April hatching 11, 11, 13 and 17 May. Maya and 33 continue to work hard to raise their young and 33 is once more proving to be an excellent provider bringing in plenty of fish to feed his family.

Missed delivery and the chicks have got a small fish!!!
One chick doing its best to get in about it
then a tug of fish LOL
now both of them at it
Maya flew off returning quickly with some hay.
#1 and #2 still at tug a fish ...
#2 wins the fish (no aggression) and it is shaking the fish and then throws it so getting bits of it. #4 has its eyes on it LOL
#2 gives up, lies down and then #3 has a go at the fish.
Maya had flown off leaving the chicks with the fish and returns with a large stick
and now places it
Maya then picks up the fish piece and feeds them

FISH @ 20:35
Maya hangs on to this one and feeds the chicks
but soon Maya lets go of the fish and the chicks are having another go at feeding themselves. Just hope they watched mum closely:-D
Soon mum goes to the rescue for they weren't paying attention!
Then they have another go ... this is going to go on and on for a couple of days LOL
But all part of learning and they soon will be able to feed themselves.
33 in again!
I did not see 33 come in so don't know if he brought another fish but Maya is once more feeding the chicks.
Maya now settles down with the chicks
Morning All
Chicks quiet just now awaiting breakfish
