The season so far: Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. Maya laid 4 eggs 2, 5, 8 and 11 April hatching 11, 11, 13 and 17 May. Maya and 33 continue to work hard to raise their young and 33 is once more proving to be an excellent provider bringing in plenty of fish to feed his family.

This is the third time I have watched Maya return with fresh hay
Familiar dark clouds rolling in :-( Maya jumps down from the campost
and once more settles with the chicks and will do her utmost to protect them from the elements
This is one heavy downpour!
Maya has #4 and #3 under her .... #1 and #2 either side and they are soaking within minutes
At least it has passed quickly.
Maya has flown and the poor older chicks are thoroughly soaked again! I must admit I am relieved to see #4 and #3 looking drier for they are younger and this spell seems to have gone on for ages.
Sunshine!

LOL I must of blinked Alison for I missed that!
FISH @ 18:33 and its a whopper!
Maya started mantling, then 33 approached the nest with a fish
33 lands and is mantling
Maya takes the fish, 33 immediately flies off and Maya begins feeding- #4 is up first :-D
18:42 they are all lined up ( L>R #2, #4, #1 and #3) a and the fish is still living for we can see its tail flapping :-(
They are gorgeous young osps now. More sunshine and a bit of wingercising.
