Continued from April 2019
The season so far:
Maya arrived back 14 March and Blue 33(11) on 23 March. They are currently incubating 4 eggs laid 2, 5, 8 and 11 April with the first expected to hatch around 9 May

They all seem fine Jane but he really needs to be careful for just one slip of a talon !
Quite uncomfortable watching them as they are constantly itching those feathers which must be really prickly!
18:18 33 approaches with a fish
Maya grabs it
Chicks up and she starts feeding them
#3 & #4 were at the front of one of the oldest chicks and it started beating on #4. The other older chick moves back and lies down at the back not bothering to eat. #4 keeping its head down for when it raised its head, once more aggression.
The other older chick has joined the feed and three chicks - #1, #2, & #3 are being fed.
18:30 The older chick is full and moved back and Maya is feeding #3.
18:33 #3 has had a load of fish and now it moves back and joins the eldest chick. Maya now feeding the other older chick.
18:39 #4 gets its head up and joins the feed and gets fish
The older three chick are all huddled up and #4 is now the only one left getting fed and it is getting loads :-)

18:49 Baby dino still having its private sitting with Maya :-)
18:50 It now turns its head and joins it siblings. Maya now cleans up. All chicks fed :-)
It is not nice to see any aggression but it is just their way whereby the oldest chick wants fed first. #4 just need to be patient and keep out of trouble for it is so small but the main thing is is that it is getting its fish.
19:36 33 arrived and Maya feeding the chicks again. 33 stands about blocking the view :-( He then flies off and we see #1, #2 & #3 being fed and #4 at the back with its head down.
19:41 One of the older chicks retreats and #4 gets itself up in the middle but still blocked. But Maya gets a piece to #4
19:42 The other older chick leaves the feed leaving #3 and #4. #3 soon leaves leaving #4 who now gets a fair bit of fish.
19:46 #4 joins its siblings. Feed over and Maya cleans up.
She then carefully bundles them together and covers them.
Off for the night now ...... BFN

Maya had been brooding, but now there is another feed taking place. Not sure if there had been a fish delivery, if so missed it, but have a feeling it could be from the same fish as before.
33 has arrived - think maybe an intruder is around
Before 33 arrived I took this screenshot, I hope I am wrong but since I have been watching on and off since before 5 am, I haven't seen the chick that is circled move, never seen its head pop up. I so wanted the 4 chicks to survive, so I want to be very wrong with my thoughts.
PS: Think I will take a break for now as cannot bear the thought of another tragedy this season.
