33 arrived but Maya did not move apart from to roll the eggs and then he flew.

Another check :-)

If I recall correctly, around hatching we usually see Maya constantly turn the egg as we have often remarked how dizzy the poor little thing must be :-)

KAREN - don't worry about replying, I'm just very pleased that my "insight" hit the spot ;-)

I can't really remember the early days of Egg#1, but vaguely recollect some interruptions/delays in incubation - right or wrong?

Scylla - yes it was a great help - thanks. I'll not bother trying to suss out the new PM now!!

And you're right, I thought there was a little delay starting incubating and we are now into the 38th day so could very well be today.

But I think it better for it keeps the chicks closer together and 1 day less between #1 and #4 should they all hatch for the difference is going to be massive!

But as usual LOL, I am way ahead of myself and lets just wait on the first hatching :-D
