It's a frosty morning. Keep that egg nice and warm!
Sunrise
Morning All - thanks for the updates.
So Maya has been on and off the egg for quite lengthy periods. But she is an experienced mother and has done this before. I am sure she knows what she is doing and there is no need for concern.
At the nest just now ........
An intruder nearby. I think it was 33 who was incubating but quickly rose off the egg and gave chase
Blue 33 returns, still wing flapping
and quickly joined by Maya.
There was an unsuccessful mating attempt then 33 flew off and Maya has now settled down on the egg.

So will we see egg #2 later today ???? SYL
Some bits from this morning.
An early mating attempt that took a while to get right:
Another clod! Maybe not quite so solid as the other one, but bad enough:
Maya managed to shift it out of the way:
Maya nudged the egg on-end:
Just a partnerly visit :)
There is a gull flying around the nest. Maya is staying put in the nest and 33 by her side.
