This thread will continue daily until we decide that nest activities require the 2019 DAILY UPDATE to commence :)
Trying posted first live stream snap of 2019:
Nota bene - NO GLARE !!!
Not to be outdone (even tho she was) Scylla poked her nose in - what a shame that it shows how much better the VLC picture is, compared to (her) screen-capture:
No nest activities yet seen, it really is too bad !!! ;-D

IMAGICAT
We have a birdie on the nest but I can't see what it is yet. It's not as small as a Crestie... it's wrestling with something over the side, just out of view, dang.
EDIT - A Chaffinch, I venture ;)
Unfortunately it didn't perch on the raised twig but behind it:
Hi Scylla I would say Hawfinch.?

"Dull Chaffinch" - Thank you everyone for looking and thanks to MOFFER and TEEJAY for the Crossbill suggestion. That's a new one on me and I shall try my best to remember it! I think it needs wing bars for a Hawfinch, too, TREVOR, from what I can see on RSPB (from which I'd never have got Crossbill, which they make red and the female green!).
Lately the cam has been buffering and going into Carnyx screen a lot but just seems to have settled down.
The cam has been buffering, with intermittent Carnyx screens, much more than it's been OK. Since the last manual refresh a couple of minutes ago, it's been OK. I'm not reporting it because I don't want the same to happen as last year, when the quality was significantly reduced and we got blur-on-movement for the rest of the season - we are already not on the same quality that we were in March 2018.
Here's hoping we get sound today :)
EDIT - Having checked right thru since the Crossbill now, I can report that the periods of buffering were not that bad, and only one period lasted for about half an hour or so non-stop-ish.
Oops!
NIGHTCAM 19 MARCH !!! 18:57
a bit later than last night
There's been no significant buffering since last report.
