Checking again, it’s such a treat seeing such a clear view on the webcam, hope it lasts throughout the season 

When inserting pics on the iPad mini there is no box to change the size, so I think they must have been working on system, as my captures I posted yesterday on the iPad were a decent size, the exact same size photos today are posting small. I guess it’s a case of having to go with the flow, must try my phone again and see if there is any difference there.

Still small and on iPad no way to drag corners to make larger, there doesn’t seem to be any set method to follow for inserting photos, or rather there is no set result for what I am posting. 

I hate these teeny weeny photos that you have to click on to see the full size   What a pain.....   So think I will stick with my PC, but cannot carry a PC with me when I am out and about LOL....

The picture does expand and look very nice, MARY, but while that's OK for the odd snap it's no good for, say, people who are catching up and would have to click on every picture as they go thru the pages - to say nothing of the bother it now is to post pics.

I'm logging off now - maybe that will encourage Lassie and Blue33, not to mention a certain lady beginning with E and ending with J (no, I don't want to rush you, EJ :-* )

Exactly SCYLLA, people catching up don’t want to expand every photo, as DU can get lengthy at times, I don’t know why they couldn’t leave it as it was.

Would be interested to compare with anyone else using a phone or iPad to see what size their captures are when they post them.

Ahem .... neither do people wanting to catch up with actual news re whatever nest want to wade through pages of images . Am I on my own ?

Cirrus, that is a valid point, I recall that I made a similar comment about the balance between news & pictures on one of the threads last year. It is a tricky balance to achieve, depending I suppose on how frequently & for how long at a time people are on the forum. Ian

The novelty of VLC hasn't helped in the past Ian. You know: click click click click click ad infinitum. It only takes people to realize that their enthusiasm for captures of our beloved birds is great but the captures need to be put on their individual hard drives ! With just two or three being put on the thread. Since I work part time I am always pleased to 'bag' someone else's picture for sure but I come home desperately sometimes (especially last year!) wanting news . With the DU in full season mode I have often looked at the number of pages and just decided to forget it.

Despite us having too many threads already, I was about to start a dedicated thread for the FEEDER (thinking that (1) we do have some Feeder fans among us, and (2) it would be good to have a contained record of our visitors thru the seasons)...

Then suddenly wondered if it might not be best created in a "general" bird category, where there'd be input (re any queries) from a wider "audience".  What do you think, and where would you put it if you agree?  (I have to ask, as I don't often wander out of LG Ospreys.)

From the 17th, as I forgot to set it going yesterday, these two GSWs came within 2 minutes of each other :)

Also seen, as usual lately - lots of Siskin, Chaffinch - but not as much squirrel :-/

 It is getting light now, will try to post another capture and see if it is still postage stamp size 

I haven’t a scooby of what is going on, I am doing the same thing but the captures are,posting all different sizes.    oh well they say variety is the spce of life.

Of the four webcams on line only LG and LA are working, not going to take long checking them this morning then. 

It's a lottery, MARY >:(  So frustrating!
