Not to be outdone (even tho she was) Scylla poked her nose in - what a shame that it shows how much better the VLC picture is, compared to (her) screen-capture:

Hi everyone

Thanks for all the updates etc. I'm in two minds about whether EJ will return or not. If she surprises us all, with a late arrival, brilliant. If not then the very best wishes to whoever starts the next chapter.

Thank you Ian, was just about to post the same news.
The one thing I picked up on was it doesn't sound like there are a lot of ospreys going about in the area.

At Loch Leven....it's a glorious day...1 osprey was seen heading NW at 1145 before I got here...
Already seen 2 buzzards and there are little egrets..so cuuuute ! and 8 brambling ...even cuter !

I love the RSPB statement: "Until we get another female taking control of the Loch Garten nest, we're not saying she's not coming back." It offers real hope without dismissing reality. LG is EJ's until proven otherwise, no matter what the calendar says. And if her reign is over, using nest possession as the mark means no waiting in limbo between eras.

I’m really wondering if any male or female Ospreys will turn up at all at Loch Garten this nesting season. I would love to hear what Tiger thinks, as I’ve seen lots of his excellent posts over the years.
