Some history of the BALGAVIES LOCH OSPREYS.
It is a SWT Nature Reserve near Forfar, Angus, Scotland. There is no webcam on the nest, and there is no Visitor Centre, only a small Hide with limited car parking spaces.

Birdies LG DU update.
I cannot see how there could be any deterrent put in place, considering Roy Dennis and Keith Brockie will not climb the tree to ring the chicks, claiming it was too dangerous after they did it in 2012 to ring and satellite tag Blue YD.
Equally there is no way of knowing if the geese have laid any eggs. Darren said the other day he didn’t think there were eggs at that point in time, probably just by judging from watching the nest. If there had been I would have thought the female osprey would have kicked them out when she was in the nest yesterday.
Here is the latest from Darren who is still at the loch.
GREEN BF HAS RETURNED, BUT NO SIGN OF FEMALE
FROM THE BACK OF HIS CAMERA
He is looking forlornly over to his nest, I say where is his Scottish fighting spirit.
EDIT - BY THAT I MEAN BF NOT DARREN
I am hoping to go to Balgavies towards the end of the month, and have that it will Ospreys on the nest and not Greylags.
