Hi everyone, I've not been in much to the site today, on and off. It was thought that the youngest had fledged but this is in doubt and until it is confirmed by The Team we can assume that it hasn't yet.
There have certainly been some near takeoffs and helped by the wind, the youngest has jumped and "flown" across the nest but this is all. It has been the eldest getting bolder and the middle one taking on more flights. There's time yet.
Peaceful scene here with two young on the nest and the eldest probably on the cam post or way to the left at the edge,, don't really know where he is.
Happy viewing and we'll see what to day brings. Over to the night shift.

#2 has more white on the side and top of it's head . From the back you can see white on either side of it's head You can NOT see white from the back of the head of either #1 or # 3 all you see is the auburn color.
#2's feathers are a darker brown. If you can't see the head look at a side view of #2 . It's wing feathers of #2 have less white edging .
If #2 is facing the camera it looks like EJ. It has fluffier bib feathers right under it's beak just like EJ.
The eldest has more dark stripes on the top "front" of it's head than Titch.
If all you see are the eye such as when it is very close to the camera Titch as softer eyes. The eyes of the eldest are piercing like EJ's

If the eldest or Titch are standing on the far side of the nest and faced sideways they both look like Odin. The eldest sounds exactly like Odin when he alarm calls. He has the high pitched screech like Odin

The eldest and Titch both hold their heads erect like Odin.
#2 carries it's head lower
Remember the proud way Odin held his head up when he was egg sitting. The eldest and Titch hold their heads that way. Like "Hey World Look at me""
If you look right now #2 is closest to the camera. It had darker feathers

Can't help wondering if that ties in with my idea which I can't shake, that #2 is female, and looks more like EJ.
EDIT; Here is a pic of just now, to confirm those darker feathers:
My housework .... will have to wait! I'm busy printing out ID info and pictures .... I have them stuck round the computer now :-)) Like you Lindybird I have always thought #2 was female and the other two male .... but as I said a while ago ... no-one is right and no-one is wrong this year!!
Oooops ... an ungainly return by #2 ... landed right on top of #3 :-)) Was that #3 who just left???????
EDIT - no it must have been #2 again - they swapped places when I wasn't looking!
