Hi everyone, I've not been in much to the site today, on and off. It was thought that the youngest had fledged but this is in doubt and until it is confirmed by The Team we can assume that it hasn't yet.
There have certainly been some near takeoffs and helped by the wind, the youngest has jumped and "flown" across the nest but this is all. It has been the eldest getting bolder and the middle one taking on more flights. There's time yet.
Peaceful scene here with two young on the nest and the eldest probably on the cam post or way to the left at the edge,, don't really know where he is.
Happy viewing and we'll see what to day brings. Over to the night shift.

The dawn light is creeping over the hills. One youngster resting, one preening, and one enjoy new found skill of roosting in a tree.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Hi all: Back from dinner; friends good fun; dinner fine but not wonderful (but close and friendly). Two chicks on the nest right now preening.
Day cam on. Two GEMs up and looking about, sometimes preening.
Morning all; daycam on. Looks like a gray day at LG. Much flapping from one chick (Titch methinks - and now the second one has joined in and flown off! Titch left looking and watching as sibling (?) circles the nest.
Site is painfully slow to deliver "server error" message - hope there's not too much action before they get it fixed.
Whoops. Assume that somewhat abrupt landing means that it was #2 arriving.
EJ and youngster arrive at nest. I assume it was GEM #1.
Hmm. Intruder? Thnk #2 hit the deck first; then Titch, then EJ arrived and then Chick #1 (thought it was Odin at first). All chicks down. Aha! Now two chicks up up - is it Odin? They're all watching something. (In the meantime, lots of calling at LOTL! Have to keep turning down the volume at LOTL to figure out where the noise is coming from.) OK. So - a raven at LG? Something very raucous. Chicks are down but not flat out. EJ calling loudly; not mantling. Not sure what's going on. Maybe just looking for breakfast.
Heron: Can you ID that bird? I've heard it three nights in a row and don't know what it is? Loud, single slowish cheep...oh, gone again, darn. Sure not an osprey.
