All is very quiet at Lowes this morning, even the ducks are sleeping :-)
Thank you for the new thread Mary.
Approx 200 sleeps until Laddie returns, it's going to be a long winter :)

Two hundred sleeps! I don't want to wish our lives away, but... It has been an interesting season for all nests, one way and another, some producing cheers, smiles and laughter, others followed with sadness, but that's the lives of ospreys which we all follow with passion.
I know it's already been posted on the August thread, but I thought the final blog was excellent and worth posting here again as a reminder of the 2018 season.

Mary, Thanks for the new thread and
Sheila, thanks for the link to the final season blog from LOTL.
Kind regards, Ann
Thank you for the new thread, MARY - I've still got a lot of catching up to do for August, as LOTL has been so neglected during this techly-fraught season - not that I ever do have time to monitor it all the way thru, but this year has been awful.
My strongest memory, therefore, is the anxious wait for Laddie to return, so I must remind myself that all was well, with two beautiful, healthy juvies having migrated :)
IMAGICAT
As part of their 'Wild and Wonderful' exhibition, Perth Museum have a video from Loch of the Lowes of Eric (Green B) and Lady and their one chick, from 2008, just before I caught the osprey bug. I had to look up who Green B was and found the link to Tiger's 2015 thread 'The Story of Green 7B', which has links reminding us that 2008 was the year in which Lady first mated with her son from 1995!. It amused me to read that in the tagged article, 'there was speculation as to whether the elderly female would possibly manage her final visit to her summer home'....her last visit being 6 years later!
Here's some stills from that video. The last 2 photos are from the display case next door. It gave me quite a start to see so many stuffed ospreys......
In this one, the commentary says Eric got the twig stuck on his beak for a while!
