What an empty day, apart from EJ's voice in the early morning :(

Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks Lorna..... I see no haystacks , let alone a needle (or 8 talons)!!
Good morning all, working fine on my iPad, thanks Lorna. Hopefully we will se EJ soon, she is sooooo good at hidng in all her little haunts. With Lorna scanning for her every half hour, hopefully she will find her. Looks cooler and a bit windy there today, same here!
@ Scylla, yesterday I did make an incorrect comment, it was indeed Mary's pictures, sorry both.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Lorna has been scanning around again for the last five minutes, but I couldn't see any EJ. :-(
Thanks for doing that Lorna, or whoever is keeping scanning for our girl!
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Good morning. What a super start to the day, Scylla. I hope the bathroom people turn up on time for you.
Cam has been on the move, undertaking a very comprehensive search lasting, I think over 15 minutes - in and out, to the left to the right. EJ's new dead tree perch (I think) is empty. Over the tree skyline, back down to the nearer trees. Absolutely no sign of her. A really good thorough search - x18 zoom, back to x9. More panning. Finally settled on the long view of the nest, with a bit of the dead tree showing on the left. It is still a bit windy up there, with no sun.
With permission, here is a photo of Blue NW3(15) m who intruded here at the LG nest on 29 April 2018. Mike Crutch/A9 Birds photographed him at Findhorn, yesterday 3 August 2018. Good to know he is still around.

Hi Mary!
Hi Sheila if you are still around, I was away doing something else there, and came back to post a photo of the empty nest, but I see you have done it.
Will post it anyway, as the season is drawing to a close I guess we won't be seeing it for very much longer.
Hi Mary and Sheila, still no sign. Are we thinking that EJ, are GJ are away on the start of their migration? When did we last see her? We herd chirps yesterday but with no cameras, unsure if it was her?
Hi Catlady
When I heard the chirps yesterday morning I immediately thought it was EJ. Some of us all reported them at the same time.
It is not to say that if it was her, she then left on her migration though.
Lorna did make this post yesterday, which would have indicated that she was still around yesterday.
She could be having a bit of a wander and come back in a few days time, she has been known to have done that in the past.
All we can do though is wait and see what happens. :-)
