Once we could see light on the PTZ cam, EJ appeared on the Love Tree perch yesterday with a good sized fish, where GJ joined her after a skydance (presumably him.) (Capture by Limpy) Events were confusing me a bit, so please correct me if I have misinterpreted anything! We heard sounds but did not get a view of the nest. Tiger posted that EJ's 21st birthday was celebrated by the announcement of a lovely canvas print of a cracking photo of EJ carrying away a good sized fish at Aviemore.

Looks like EJ is in the twiggy mood

Hi Limpy and Mary! Yes, I finally have the house to myself for a change. My student had her surgery, it was successful, and yesterday I returned her to her apartment after she recuperated at my place for a week. Phew. Good to be back with you all in a more flexible way. Hoping all is well with both of you!!
Hi all, thats me back from LG after my last visit for the week and until next year. It is typical, on Sunday and Wednesday I had just left and on logging on read she was on the nest. Today it was dry going over and she was on the high tree perch and returned to her usual perch, the heavens opened and it poured for 15 minutes or so, she sat and preened and dried off. Although I was able to take photos from the screen I wanted to see her live on the nest, so I waited 5 minutes, and another and another, eventually at 2.45 I left. It is only 5 miles to the cottage and what happened I get back, log on and EJ had brought twigs and both her and GJ had been on the nest!! Grrr. I had a lovely few hours speaking to Alison, Pru, Chris, Victoria and Steven. Victoria had been in the forward hid with Lorna last night, and they put out bread with Jam and Peanut butter, and were delighted when the Pine Martin came visiting. I will add my visit to the LG thread.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What a lovely day for you at the VC, Catlady! I am delighted to hear that Lorna and Victoria had been in the forward hide, despite there being no chicks to keep and eye on. Well done. A wonderful time of the day to be there with the smells and sights as dusk falls and dawn rises.
EJ is still on the Love Tree, alone

EJ has just flown from the Love Tree perch
I'm not sure whether it is wind or thunder, but it is raining.
