Yesterday we saw the "proud lady osprey" perched majestically on the Love Tree branch after her fish. (pic and comment by Limpy)
She spent some time nestorizing, and brought in a lovely licheny branch. (birdsong)
It is pleasant to watch EJ comfortably whiling away her days, not having to deal with loud demanding chicks this year, until the south calls her back.

EJ now eating on her favourite tree.
Took the snap pronto but did get around to posting it! I was thinking "Nothing fazes her for long" :)
Better or worse?

More flapping and she's flown again. Couldn't interpret her behaviour that time.
It's very windy, BTW.
Ah, she's on the nest - half-mantling, chirping, wing-spreading.
From PTZ to nestcam.
Vigorous flapping and squealing now.
Another bout of mantle-flapping and squealing, intruder has not come into view.
Flown with faithful fish.
She's back in the Love Tree.
She's flown.
Back to nest to defend again - TWO birds in the air...
Can't keep up.
The chipping doesn't sound particularly like EJ :-/
He touched down, both flew, EJ's back, still got her fish, has flown, he's back on dead tree...
(EDIT - This comment refers to a conglomeration of events and it seems they've got conflated.)
