DAILY UPDATE ~ Loch Garten nest ~ Friday, 06 July 2018

We are left with a mystery at the end of yesterday, brought to light by BNN. At 21:35, were there 3 ospreys near or on the nest, one flying with fish, or not? Interesting questions since though GJ has been quite attentive in the mating/dancing department, we have not seen him bring EJ any fish recently. Ej caught her own in the morning from Aviemore's fish farm. So who was that flying with fish?

EDIT 02: These were taken with my tablet. I wasn't actually watching when it happened but when I noticed someone on the nest this is what I managed to capture.

I seems to me in this first capture at 21:35 or 21:36, it is EJ on the nest. So the question is, when GJ (I think it is him) arrived, was he chasing off a fish-bearing intruder? Or did he circle round and has a fish in talons in the last shot... I rather doubt that.
