Alison is there tomorrow for her first shift so I hope she gets some sleep tonight as she has a 5am start for an early shift.
Possibly a little excited!!
Good luck Alison. Will be with you in spirit. Takes me back 22 years!
Birdies LG DU update.
I don't think she will be getting much sleep at all.

You'll still be awake at 0500 though
Just enjoy Alison.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Most likely to be male as the majority of the birds will be.
007 is definitely a male!
Well, I did my first shift yesterday with Brittany and it was wonderful. Five hours just flashed by. The location is beautiful and very peaceful.
I even got eyeballed by a couple of the birds while quickly opening the flaps to put in their food, but luckily not pecked. They are absolutely stunning in close-up. The two oldest are going to be ready to fledge pretty soon.
It is such a privilege to be a part of the team... smelling strongly of fish for months will be a small price to pay!
Nice report of your first shift ALISON, what a privilege it is to feed these young Ospreys, memories which will stay with you forever.
