Edit: The translocated famous Mr Rutland, 03(97), is shown on the Rutland website as ringed on the left leg

I assume its as you say. they are now going to be classed as Poole birds, and therefore ringed on the right leg. It'll make id of the birds much easier, avoiding confusion and being called Scottish

Thanks, Alison and Richard, that sounds sensible.
Kind regards, Ann
Valerie on Twitter has just pointed out that there could be an 007 in there!

If there is I wonder if its a female?
The first female 007, The names Bond, Jemima Bond.
Jane Bond?
The chicks taken to Poole Harbour will have Darvics on their right legs.
Obviously their sibling left behind in Scotland will have Darvics on left leg.
In 1996 and 1997 English birds were ringed on their left leg. Look at how EJ sports a ring on her right leg.
That was switched around in 1998 with Scottish ospreys being ringed on left leg and English ospreys being ringed on right leg.
