OMG! ALISON That's going to seem a long wait Thinking of you with you keeping an eye on the clock
10 July 2018 - I can't read the ring number - but as it is on the left leg, it is unlikely it will be heading south. Possibly another from the nest?
Later that evening - one heading south, ring on right leg
It could be that the 14 rings will be 001-014 - that is mere speculation, not fact!

Thank you Alison. Great news.
In reply to Mike:
Fabulous news, Alison--thanks! Wonderful that they have brought the full contingent for this year. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
In reply to Gardenbirder:
Contemplating the photo with 014 ring on the right leg--these presumably are Scottish chicks and the colour ring should be on the left leg unless the photo is reversed or the ringer was not paying attention and accidentally put it on the wrong leg, or... is there a chance that since these chicks will fledge from Poole Harbour and they will view it as their home and Roy will want them to be known as English birds that they have been ringed as though they actually are English Ospreys?!
Edit: The translocated famous Mr Rutland, 03(97), is shown on the Rutland website as ringed on the left leg
Last year's birds had their colour rings on the right leg, so I think the latter, Ann.
Also, all the Poole rings were in sequence, despite them coming from different Scottish nests.
