WILLOW, this is for you. No ospreys, not even a train, but there is a train bridge. And somehow this just struck me as an incredibly lovely scene.
For KEITH also, as he too likes trains.
JUNE - Loch Awe Railway Bridge.
There are ospreys on Loch Awe but not at this particular spot.
Trains - A few a day from Glasgow to Oban.

Good afternoon all. Hello June thankyou for the lovely photo of the railway bridge! Not on here very often these days although I do still look in to see how they are all getting on! I do enjoy all the comments.
I really wanted to post some photos of Ceris hide at Dyfi but can't seem to manage to shrink them enough to post!!
As for the bees! We have not got any yet but we have a hive which needs heat treating as it was kindly given to us by a fellow bee keeper! Will try to post pics. We go to look at other people's hives as all experience is helpful!
We are hoping to acquire a swarm from our local bee club.
Our weed field is even more weedy now. We will get it mowed later full of insects and butterflies!!
Sadly seems our dear EJ has gone :( Safe journey to her and all.the others. What will next year bring for her. Hope she'll have a more suitable mate next year. Poor GJ is not a very good partner but maybe that's because he's young and inexperienced. I'd still like him to return but not to pair with EJ.
Not been watching as much as I would have liked this year and now we're on the doorstep of them leaving. Time goes so fast it really won't be long but still get the empty sad feeling!
Always dread finding out who returns and who doesn't. This year's shocker was Glesni.
Just read your post 58WILLOW I can't get over Glesni's demise nor comprehend what could have happened to such a young, robust bird
Good evening. I was really shocked at Glesni as you say she was a strong bird! I felt the same when Nora didn't return. I think there are so many hazards facing our birds specially for the juveniles. In some ways I dread the beginning of each year finding out who has not made it back and the inevitable heart break!
