The event that takes the cake was GJ arriving with a fish for EJ, which was accepted and taken off the nest to eat, while he settled to incubate the forlorn eggs. Of course, the cam then went down and when it reappeared, the apparent father was gone, nowhere to be seen. He returned briefly a while later only to disappear again. What goes on in the heads of osprey, only the osprey know. Events were faithfully recorded by Moffer's excellent captures. This one of GJ was taken by Trying.
Meanwhile, BNN thought she noticed a crack in one of the eggs, but it is unconfirmed as of now. We are not sure if the eggs will be collected, but if they are they will wait until after EJ leaves, to avoid disturbing her.
Yesterday we caught a preview of a beautiful photo of EJ fishing at Rothiemurchus, by Neil McIntyre. It bears reposting, I think.

She's chirping persistently and here's GJ, empty-taloned, and he didn't stay more'n a few seconds.
.
EJ is chirping again now.
I'm off to the kitchen for a while.
EJ still chirping. I can hardly call it calling but suppose it is.
I haven't been gone all this time ;) There's no news except that EJ is no longer calling, at any level.
Haha! And she just piped up as I typed that ;-D
