Most of yesterday the eggs were home alone, but EJ did return to the nest by night. And though the eggs are intact, a pine marten was recorded on video posted by LG Abernethy FB, having had a good meal.
We got reports from MaryGK at the VC and Les Carr about EJ's whereabouts off cam, such as her eating a fish under the nest (edit: or perhaps she was just sitting on her fish-eating perch) which was thankfully received. Moffer and scylla consorted to report a flyby with another bird in the distance, as well as her return to the nest. While we are all sad for EJ and for ourselves, it is agreed we are relieved the eggs have next to no chance of hatching, and we hope EJ finds a suitable suitor for her Phenomenalness. Though she is back at the nest, she was not seen too often yesterday. It looks like it will be another lovely day at LG, has EJ gone fly about or maybe heading to her favourite fishing spots for breakfast, I do hope we see her today though.

Good Morning everybody I can't get the nest but I take it EJ isn't there Happy that she is looking after herself but sad too about the overall situation as I expect we all are
