Yesterday we had MaryGK on the ground in the VC, and she gave this report. GJ seems to have claimed the nest and EJ as his, though no fish has been forthcoming and EJ seems not to trust him incubating as a result. He comes to mate, and today appeared late to the defense (with full crop) of the nest from an unringed intruder. EJ is still begging for fish, but finally at the end of the wet day, she left the eggs for over three hours and returned cleaning her beak. We all hope and trust she had herself a meal. Meanwhile, Tiger reminded us that, if all were well, the first hatching would be coming this week.
She appears to be faceplanted into the nest, and it looks like the rain has stopped.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild_______________________________________The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter, though—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Are you recording vid of Loch of Lowes Scylla? ... I am beginning to think something may be happening soon from lassie's recent behaviour.
She looks tired - and I would say 'fed up' if I weren't a scientist ;)

Me too :)
Good morning, MOFFER - you just failed to save me the trouble of marking EJ's departure, my fault for not refreshing ;)
Every time, we hope she's going to look after herself from now on, but every time so far she's returned, eventually.

EJ has been gone for half an hour.
A quick look in! What a miserable day. If there was any doubt they would hatch, they definitely wont now.

EJ still away, hope she is eyeing up a nice big juicy trout just now.

I remember bringing up that problem when we had the awful 'redesign' of the site software - I think it was even worse at first.
How long is it that we've been suffering with the idiosyncrasies and seizures? Three years?
