Well what can I say? Yesterday was a rather grim day as EJ received the square root of zilch in the way of fish. George only made two very brief appearances on the nest, and sadly seems to be seriously neglecting his duties. So what hope is there for the new day? The best scenario is that George suddenly finds good form again and we can all breath a collective sigh of relief. Of course we have to think about EJ reaching a stage where she is driven to fish for herself and thus leaving the eggs exposed to possible predation. In the current circumstances I would be happy to see EJ fend for herself.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
GJ in for mating, out again, no delay.
The early morning blur is in full swing still.
Now:

Good morning MC.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning, MIKE :)
My eyes are very sore so this has to be my cheerio-for-now portrait of our beautiful lady (not a lot of choice lately, as she's been looking out yonder):
SYAL ;)))
Sleep well MC.
Good Morning All
Sorry to have missed you yet again Scylla, hope your eyes clear up soon.
Thank You Heron for starting us off and Pandy for your poem which sums it up.
I cannot understand G. at all - and cringe seeing poor EJ sitting there under his mating attempts.
It just shows no matter how many seasons we observe, situations happen that we have never seen before, and this sure is one cruel situation.
She is looking all around her and not as sleepy as she was yesterday morning.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Hi Mary.
Morning Mike
We will just have to wait until EJ decides what she will do.
I don't think there is a known Osprey who has had as many turbulent seasons as EJ has, but she carries on regardless, we had all hoped this was going to be one of the good seasons, but sadly not. Well not unless a miracle happens.
Shes flown and back again, settled on the eggs, with a few cheeps.
Good Morning MARY and MIKE
I don't think anybody understands G, MARY It is more than just being young Ne makes no attempt to look after dear, long-suffering EJ
I have nothing to add to what I said yesterday, that I wish she would just give up and look after herself
Flew a few chirps she flew off and back calling loudly
