Another morning and daytime was spent in stress, tension, frustration, despair...
EJ certainly had a very stressful start to the day, it's a wonder her voice didn't wear out! Intruder(s) not seen on-cam.
(Per Moffer)
When she wasn't shouting she was watching and waiting:
(Per MaryGK)
Later in the day EJ appeared to have managed a dip - let's hope that rinsed out some of the biting mites ;)
GJ deigned to turn up with clumps and/or for mating attempts, then, at 23 minutes past 7 in the evening! (should have been that time in the morning, GJ!) he arrived with a very respectable brown trout (thank you, Bucky).
(Per me)
However, EJ was gone 35 minutes max - please may she have eaten it all and not lost any.
Some discord yesterday, as everyone has their own way of dealing with what we all know to be a poor situation for our very precious heroine, EJ :-* We've been thru worse, and mutual support will carry us thru - to who knows where?

Getting lighter and I hear the first calls of the morning from the cuckoo. EJ still sleeps.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
There was a strange little trill that interested EJ and now the cuckoo has started up.

Quite a lot of light:
EJ is calling.
Just realised sound is back, or maybe it was that it was only the hum and no other sounds that made think it had gone, I guess I am not quite with it at the moment.
EJ has started with little cheeps. Does she see you know who!
A new day dawns, lets hope it is a good one for EJ.
Good morning, MARY :-* So glad you are early so that we cross paths.
Do you remember when the cuckoo chose a perch so near that it drove us crackers?
She's up halfway with a couple of tweets and then a few loud shouts.
I have to turn in, even tho things may be getting going :(((
See you all later, here's hoping for good news.
Bye Mary :-*
Yes I remember Scylla, and that cuckoo calling does drive us crazy. Actually there is a cuckoo near the site we go to at Gruinard Bay, and it starts early cuckooing away, while I like to hear it, when it starts at 4 am and doesn't stop for ages, it can get a bit irritating LOL...
Have a good sleep Scylla, and oh yes I hope when you come back it will be good news, I am not holding my breath though.
