As a very wise old woman (who is too modest to be named) said yesterday "Deep breath! Let's see what today brings" ;-)
Probably the most beautiful female osprey in the world (compliments of Clare):
And the source of our discomfort, looking a little shamefaced, as well he might (compliments of Moffer):
Off we go !!!

The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter, though—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!

Good morning to everyone I missed earlier, and those yet to join us. Where are you Scylla?
EJ is sitting quietly, looking around It has got windy again.
Nothing to report really. But i realise we tend to only document the “unusual” or things happening, and yet, the same old regular view may be interesting too. So here comes what i tend to see today each time i check in to the cam:
“watching over her shoulder”
ps: it is blustery up there
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
EJ is up, flapping and screaching. Intruder around.
EJ up, wing flap and squeals!
edit: Now mantling but threat seems to pass quickly and she settles back down on the eggs.
Panic over, she's back on the eggs
EJ is calling. I hope he has a fish
Just what I was thinking Moffer :-)
Silence :o((
Here's GJ. No fish massive clump! NO SOUND!
Well, what a disappointment!!
the male arrives with a clump of nesting material ...
