Such a beautiful Osprey:
A subdued start to the new day, as LMAC unmasked the anxieties that many have had about GJ's unreliability, here and here, with convincing evidence.
A virtually fleshless fishtail was all that was brought for EJ to eat yesterday, she was gone for under 45 minutes.
GJ wasn't seen again until evening, when he popped in and almost straight out again.

The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter, though—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!
IMAGICAT
Meant to say it would be good if we could get some sort of news from the people who write the blogs, because they might see more than we do.
Pandy said:Good morning, all. Dr. Erick Greene posted an interesting note on FB about breeding success and age/experience, just based on his observations about Hellgate over recent years.
Thanks for giving us a link to this very interesting read Pandy. The LG nest continues to provide roller-coaster viewing. An interesting fact that an inexperienced male not be able fertilise any eggs. If George continues his inadequate fishing provision, we can only hope that EJ's eggs are all infertile, as I'd hate to see 3 chicks starve to death. But I think not all the eggs are his. Time will tell but it's not easy viewing and I fear will only get worse
A wing stretch followed by shouting, flapping and scratching.
After quite a bit of shouting, EJ has flown for a comfort break
and back
Trying to stay positive, but it's getting harder and harder I must admit. As someone said earlier I wish LG would post an update.
