Our last view of EJ on Sunday included an entrancing landscape lit (info from Helen) by a full moon, with Jupiter below. (by Limpy)And now she is faceplanted into the nest, looking exhausted. © RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx WildYesterday saw her receiving one smallish long fish in late afternoon, and either consuming it quickly or dropping it. In any case she returned quickly to the nest. We all hope for more substantial and earlier deliveries for our Queen, or we will definitely be continuing to call him Junior.
Another event involved what seemed to be a male osprey, Blue Darvic NW3, caught expertly by the sharp-eyed Moffer (video by scylla), trying to land on the nest and being flapped away by EJ. Later, osprey alarm chirps were heard from afar. Maybe GJ chased off the intruder.
I leave with the most recent capture of the minute. It is tiring to raise a new generation and train a new mate at the same time...she rocks on the eggs in her sleep.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild_______________________________________The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter, though—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. I'm sure she would find room for some supper Moffer, she's probably thinking how long she may have to wait for breakfast.

Osprey Update: George brought EJ a pretty large fish and she gorged on it all afternoon! An intruder showed up at 16.45, George alarm called so EJ returned to the nest, George stole the fish from her and flew away... hero to zero within a few hours!
Dreadful network probs here, I had to transfer 2 hours from the LG laptop to this one to be able to edit.
Two quite long, quiet, episodes.
