Our last view of EJ on Sunday included an entrancing landscape lit (info from Helen) by a full moon, with Jupiter below. (by Limpy)And now she is faceplanted into the nest, looking exhausted. © RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx WildYesterday saw her receiving one smallish long fish in late afternoon, and either consuming it quickly or dropping it. In any case she returned quickly to the nest. We all hope for more substantial and earlier deliveries for our Queen, or we will definitely be continuing to call him Junior.
Another event involved what seemed to be a male osprey, Blue Darvic NW3, caught expertly by the sharp-eyed Moffer (video by scylla), trying to land on the nest and being flapped away by EJ. Later, osprey alarm chirps were heard from afar. Maybe GJ chased off the intruder.
I leave with the most recent capture of the minute. It is tiring to raise a new generation and train a new mate at the same time...she rocks on the eggs in her sleep.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild_______________________________________The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter, though—any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Ah ... thanks CC.
But talking about the roaming cam, I do hope those parts are on their way or even better here as I would really like to see around the nest.
GJ is sitting open-beaked now, must be nice 'n mild up there :)
No energy to do a snap, what's it coming too? SYAL :)
That's my boy George, see you know how to do it and can do it so keep them coming please, sit now and do your bit on the eggs and let lovely EJ have her much awaited for dinner. Lovely day at LG, sunny here today also 112/45 temperature in the greenhouse earlier on! Thanks for the lovely photos and updates. Off to the garden again, CYAL.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Is there someone about, he keeps looking up and around and dipping his head?
Awww bless, he is chipping to the eggs as he readjusts his position!
I heard a little chirp exchange, too... non-intruder. Edit: Oh hi Sheila, was it to the eggs then? Sweet.
Apparently EJ landed, again, on the tree beyond the nest, and perched to eat her fish. I am not sure whether this is the perch we called "The Fish Perch" in previous years or not. The view then have been from roving cam/tree cam rather than nest cam. Thank you Alison.
Try, as I may, I am unable to see her! The definition that far away is too blurry for me.
This was the 'Fish Perch' from previous years. It's the tree in front, without the red arrow
Hello to you too, CC!
