  • SAMI- I'm sure that we've all done that! I usually put another post on, apologising to whoever :-) Maybe the Mods will reply to you on this thread? Anyone else know what to do?

  • Sami --  I wouldn't worry, I've done that more than once, by accident.  Last time, only a couple of weeks ago, I subsequently got a message in my Inbox from the moderator, saying did I have a complaint?  - I replied immediately saying that it was a mistake, and was told not to worry :-)

  • Heather -- I saw that you mentioned having had a bad night, but I didn't have time to reply to you as I was busy trying to get our sausages on the hob... I hope you get a better night tonight.

I have a Sparks card. You get the occasional extra benefit of special offers, and you accumulate some kind of donation to the charity of your choice from a list.

  • Thanks Heather and Lindybird!

    Thanks Heather and Lindybird!

    You're welcome, Sami!   :-)  - and don't worry!

  • Evening all: Overnight at Heathrow with laptop battery currently charging iPhone (guess who left adapter at sister's house!).  Anyway, will catch up tomorrow when back over the Pond.

  • Annette - hope all your travel plans go smoothly.  Glad you have an alternative way to charge your phone!  We have to carry so many leads around with us these days!

Having had a day of almost continuous rain until the sun appeared around 4.00pm, we are promised about ten days of wall-to-wall sunshine and some decent temperatures.  AND it's a Bank Holiday weekend!  I'll believe it when I see it.  Can't wait to feel a bit of heat on my winter-tired body ...

  • Hi all, without a computer since Friday so have borrowed Dau's laptop.

Annette - hope you had a great time at your sisters and at Kew Gardens with her. Its obviously a pleasure for them to take you to Heathrow as you are not over very often Enjoy the pampering. Safe journey back to California tomorrow.

Been quite pleasant here today after 2 days of heavy showers. Still cool.

Had our annual Womans Own lunch out today, only had a sandwich as was cooking in the evening, still very nice.   Got home and was pottering about in the kitchen when suddenly tripped and trying to save myself, stumbled and crashed into the steps on one wall, banged my head, bruised my replacement knee and stubbed my big toe which I broke last year, all in all a right good "do".   Recovering slowly, knock on head came up like a balloon and there is bruising on toe and knee. What am I like - still might go swimming tomorrow but not sure yet.

Nice to recall the memories, Heather. A busy girl, hope you enjoyed your shopping expedition!

Probably won't get on again this week so take care all and have a good weekend.

  • LYNETTE   sounds nasty.  I am forever bumping myself. I would trip over a blade of grass. OH is despairing.

  • Good Morning.  Hope that Annette will soon be safely on her way, and that yesterdays visit to Kew was a big success: funnily enough, they showed Kew on the Breakfast News this morning as the Glass House is to be reopened this weekend after renovations.

Lynette: That sounds nasty - you must be black and blue today. Do take care of yourself.

Dry here and I hope to get more laundry out today - I might even get around to washing the small net curtain on our kitchen door! Have a good day, everyone.
