Yesterday's Daily Update saw some 370 posts, and spread to 25 pages. Trust me if you ever get the chance to read over it you will find it a great read. Not sure I could ever find the brevity to sum it up in one post.
Here's to Tuesday, and hopefully it will see EJ settle down with the most suitable male. She is on the nest just now. Quite windy at LG

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Great news about the egg being laid, but a shame EJ is showing now interest in it. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
Apart from the little she had from the fish piece delivered yesterday then nicked, does anyone know when EJ last ate?
Morning ospreyholics!
Well these ospreys and EJ particularly never fail to throw us a curveball - or a curve egg in this case!
I am reminded of 2015 in Glaslyn when Mrs G was waiting for 11(98) to show, and mated in a slightly lacklustre way with a couple of young pretenders (Scottish three year old CU2 and Blue80, her own chick from a previous year), and then on 20th April she suddenly laid an egg. She pretty much ignored it, and it was abandoned and deemed to just be a 'hormonal' egg she had disposed of - she went on to lay more eggs only to ignore and abandon them. In the end she laid a total of 7 eggs that year - finally mating and settling with the current male Aran, and producing a final clutch of two which were incubated and finally hatched (despite all sorts of shenanigans and intrusions etc) and became the young ospreys 4R and W0.
So I do wonder whether there is a similar situation here - EJ has mated a few times to trigger ovulation, but is going to ignore the eggs as either not been properly fertilised or because she is not yet settled into a breeding relationship capable of successful incubation and rearing yet.
As always we can only watch, wait, see .... and learn!
Go EJ the Phenomenal!!!

EJ has flown
She soared off!

A good story to recall chocoholix, thanks. Gives us some hope of a better outcome for EJ this year, if she could just find a decent male she likes
