Yesterday was another marred by both cam and EJ outages :'(
A special Thank You to Alison Elder, on duty at LG, for allowing us to share her discouraging ;) info:
Our New Male has competition! (Snaps by BirdieNumNum, thank you!)
Defending in the evening...
...versus another unringed male, not seen well enough for any ID notes:
The Daily Update is for recording nest events only, allowing for banter ;) - any questions or conversations can happen on the Osprey Chat thread. Thank you!
IMAGICAT
A crawler, not a flyer. Gossamer culprit?
Thanks for starting the new DU, scylla. Hopefully Sunday will be a better day in terms of Osprey activities at LG.
ENS just now. The new male is probably roosting nearby. Who knows where EJ is roosting :-(
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Thanks scylla for the start and also for the super vids of the two males! :-( And thanks to Alison for the on the spot alerts. I am on the road until Tuesday, so MANY thanks. I see the sad disconnect that is happening. Whodathunk it when all was looking up for at least a day. I liked CRinger's personal thoughts on the matter...

A very quiet night, and now morning's here.
DAYCAM 05:11hr:
A male has landed, haven't had a good enough view to tell is it's our New Male yet. He's standing looking out from EJ's lookout point.
Slam-dunk it's our New Male:
Nice and symmetrical ;)
There's no sound when they land on the campost.
OTHER (I think!) MALE LANDED.
I'm in Sunday morning quagmire.
This is definitely a different male - see them eyebrows :o
He's very stick-oriented.
See them eyebrows :o No need to say it twice!
Good morning, CC !!! :-*
Morning All - thanks for all the updates.
Interesting another male has appeared. As I type one has landed on the nest
moving sticks
another close up
Edit: Still on nest at 06:06. Looking a head pattern and doesn't have that butterfly or batman symbol as I thought so think a different one from newmale.
Morning, Karen, what a turn-up!
Morning Scylla, I know !! This one has been nest cupping too!
My only wish is that we could put something in place that only ringed males were permitted to land :-D
