EJ lies quietly on her nest with something coming down showing white streaks in the nitelite. My laptop never wants to capture it. Most is coming down, but some seems to be going UP. I suppose that is a trick of the cam.
I jus tuned in several minutes ago to see that EJ is not on the nest. I hope she has gone to catch a nice fish for herself.

I meant this "just for fun". to perhaps lighten the mood a wee bit. But somehow it doesn't seem so funny or cute under our present circumstances. If anything I feel that the contrast of proud motherhood to our lone LG eggs just enhances the situation. Three eggs abandoned by the male and momentarily left behind by the mother. And some of us have doubts as to whether there ever were any live chicks there to start with.
Well, anyway, this picture helps me release some pent up feelings - which may help me some but helps EJ and any potential chicks not at all.
EJ back on nest & eggs. I've been away, so no idea how long she was gone.
Good news at last--a fish! Hope the male continues to bring fish every day but I have a hunch he won't, sadly.
Kind regards, Ann
I've no faith in George at all, Ann. I can only hope to be wrong about this as I have been about every other aspect of this strange season.
I have never had any optimism for this osprey from the day he landed and still do not. Was watching all the Ospreys at Ponte Pedro Beach at Sawgrass TPC. Went up to Jacksonville yesterday to watch The Players golf from Sawgrass but the Ospreys around were also star attraction.
Keith, it looks strange to see you posting at 2:17 am. until I remember you are still in Florida.
