Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

OK folks. I'm turning in now - got another sorta busy day tomorrow. Take care all.
Good night Annette. #1 is still eating his fish while Titch wingercises.
Really thought TItch was going to take off then. OK - really am off to bed now.
EJ with a FISH. Where is Titch & #2? Or is that Titch eating the remains of the first fish?
EDIT One GEM is lurking on the left.
Titch finished remains of first fish. EJ has been eating her fish and now she is feeding Titch.
Titch has had sufficient. EJ continues eating her huge fish.
The lurking one has emerged and is being fed. Perhaps he is #2? Delaying as usual?
Unknown said: YES all three are on the nest!! #2 flew in from the left side where the tree with the leaves is located. The camera tree to the right where EJ roost is bare of leaves So much for the rule book that they don't sleep away from the nest on their first fledge LOL And it just took off again for a show off flight LOL

EJ is still eating. Every now and then a GEM wanders over to be fed again. Only 2 GEMs on nest.
