Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

All quiet now ... someone flew off ... don't know who! Must go and do other things for a while :-((
EDIT - when I say 'quiet' ... I mean quiet except for the wind!!

Great stuff Lynette. Look forward to it. YouTube can be very slow at uploading, especially at weekends.
3 on nest now. Lots of flapping going on and treading on siblings:)
Sorry if this isn't 'news' but, although it hasn't been comfirmed by LG, it looks as if #3 has fledged and quite expertly.
The mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work if it's not open.
Really? quietwoman. Have been having lunch etc and missed that. LG usually take quite a while to confirm things I find (I expect they are very busy up there on a Saturday)
Did you see it?
I noticed there was a post that said #3 had fledged ... I didn't see it but I haven't been on all the time.
all 3 still sheltering from the wind, on the nest|:
--- they are having as bad a time with the weather, as are the golfers at St Andrews!
Thanks Quietwoman:)

I have just watched the video but wouldn't like to say which bird it is. It made a perfect landing on it's return to the nest.
