Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

The youngest keeps thinking about going -
Still two on nest. Must go and shop. Hope I don't miss 3 fledging. 'See' you later.
Not sure whether there is an intruder about, one calls, the youngest is playing dead. Seems like a false alarm.
#3 just went flat on the nest ... not sure why ... other one isn't bothered and nothing seems to be around!

EJ arrives, alarming
Terry in Cumbria
They're watching something, sounds like one is calling in the background. Its EJ and she's shrieking and mantling
intruder alert.
Intruder alert ... EJ flies in shrieking and mantling. She's been alarm calling for a while from her tree.
EJ stays alert ... but manages some housekeeping in the meantime!
Those eyes, so piercing
Hi everyone. Thanks for all the news and those pics. Late this morning------PC weighed down with cookies! Had to get rid of some before I could get on to this site. Good news about #2. Think I may have it on video, but haven't checked yet. Slightly better day, at least it's dry so far. Forecast not great, tho'.
