Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

Many many thanks DJoan and Lynette for super pics - copied for my folder (I know you don't mind :) )
OK a hiking I go - resigned to missing the Youngest fledge - just hope someone makes a video. Have a great day everyone - will be looking in this evening when I return.
Have a great day Cirrus.
EJ seems to be feeding just one chick.
See that they are eating again- won't be too hungry today then
--I'm off out so 'see' you later...
Great to see the whole family home together, thanks all for detailed fish, flapping and fledging info for those who can't be at the computer all day. Thought breakfast might bring No 2 back.

It looks like one of the chicks has got the fish and EJ has left them to it. The other two are looking on.
There's now a tustle going on .
It looks like the eldest has flown off and EJ is standing watching where it went and she is now off too, leaving two home alone.
One of the young ones just flew of the nest, just about taking EJ's head off! She's had enough and gone too :-))
Then there were 4, then 3, now 2, just waiting for 3 to be left on his own.
