Well folks, its been an exciting day despite the weather. The middle chick increased its wing exercising and almost went this afternoon but no, it was this evening at about 19.37pm that it fledged. Alison posted a link on the main blog. In case anyone missed it , it is: www.youtube.com-watch Its only short but it shows clearly it taking off.
At present we don't know where it is. The eldest and youngest are on the nest with we hope middle one on a tree sheltering from the wind. Only the morning will tell and hopefully when there is a fish delivery it will come back onto the nest
The eldest has had a few forays out into the big wide world also but #3 is still at home but has been practising. What will tomorow bring??

Hi all. Darn, double darn! Missed it all (as usual). Really hectic day and just managed to log on now. Brilliant that #2 has fledged. One chick has just arrived; now another. Wow.
YES all three are on the nest!!
#2 flew in from the left side where the tree with the leaves is located. The camera tree to the right where EJ roost is bare of leaves
So much for the rule book that they don't sleep away from the nest on their first fledge LOL
And it just took off again for a show off flight LOL

Hey Annette. Nay, wasn't me. I slept in. It was Lynette as usual who started us on our daily journey of discovery.
Oh sorry AQ. In that case - thanks Lynette.!
Barbara Jean: Didn't realize they typically don't spend the first night away - the LOTL birds seems to be gone most of the time these days. Geez. Lots of activity at LG this morning.
