The Foulshaw webcam is now live.
Hope the ospreys use this nest this year!

They seemed very comfortable with each other.
Blue 35 is calling!
and the target of all her calling is sat in that tree! :) (low branch left)
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
Looks as if snowing/sleeting.
nice to hear they are back

Watched him approach the nest and like Blue 35, I expected to see a fish in his talon!
But no, arrived to mate
He remained on the nest, slightly in defensive mode whereby Blue 35 continued to give him a right earful.
Just about to take a capture of his ring when he flew off. He is away, hopefully to now get her that fish!
He looked quite embarrassed by his behaviour.
Another pair back, glad to see YW who I have a soft spot for as he is from Bassenthwaite, 2008. Also good that they are on the camera nest - I know last year's was removed as unsafe, but you never know with ospreys!
Looks as tho she is waiting for a fish, rather than his earlier nookie! Does anyone know from which direction YW might approach the nest, having been fishing?
