Last season, the webcam went on line 7 March so here is a new thread for the 2018 season getting us ready for first glimpse of the nest and the arrival of its residents – LM12 and LF15 otherwise known to us as Laddie and Lassie.
Laddie arrived last season on the 16th March, the first osprey back to a public nest and also the earliest for an osprey to return to the Lowes in 50 years. Lassie kept him and us waiting a few days arriving 23 March.
Here’s wishing Laddie and Lassie a safe journey home and another successful season.

LOTL are having problems with the streaming. The camera is up and working well to the centre so they are able to give us updates as they have to date...including photos.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thank you, Mike.
Is the cam fixed, or am I watching a recording?

I think it's live Starling! Last time I looked it was a recording (in the dark) and the fact there's wind blowing and bits of snow on the nest leads me to think it's now.
I think it is live, even has sound. Ian
Thanks Korky, I thought it looked live as well, but wanted someone else's opinion.
Yes, it's blowing a gale! By contrast, the sound seems to have gone at the LG cam - last night it sounded like a herd of motorbikes revving up (not sure if that's the collective term for motorbikes)
Correction. Sound is still there at LG. Just that it's not blowing a gale and the motorbikes have gone!
Well spotted Starling ....
looks live to me :-)

Edit: Just read Alan's post on LG Nest thread and after having clicked the end, it stopped, so I think also this is a recording. But good news is that they seem to be working on it and hopefully making progress.
