Just started snowing here ...
LINDY Benson has a teddy just like that. It was Dillons before him. Love the pic anyway. It is a cold frosty morning here and lovely clear sky. We are driving down the A9 and it will be so scenic.
Safe journey, DIBNLIB - esp driving south into low sun. Looks like Essex and Kent are getting worst of morning snow, and we had just a slight frost at about minus3.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Frosty here this morning, -3. Lovely blue sky so I went for a walk.
Good luck with the new car, OG, plus new scooter.
ANNETTE - hope that the ABs are kicking in and that you will get your belated birthday meal!
AQ - can't believe that the twins are that age already! Time is going past very quickly. Or so it seems.
DIANE - I will watch the film trailer. I don't go to the cinema but will buy DVDs of films that I like. Darkest Hour is on the list, when it comes out in that format.
Regards to all -
Very cold, here, but at least it's dry and not much wind. Been to the dentists for my checkup and a big discussion on a particularly troublesome molar. Looks as if I'll have to knuckle under and get a crown done :-( The only other alternative is to take it out, which would leave me with little to chew with! as I lost a lot of the back teeth some years ago.
No time to post replies, as we're off to go visit sis-in-law in her new abode. Back later.
Afternoon all. Woke to a covering of snow in Suffolk but felt like I needed to get out in some fresh air as I am still suffering from this horrid bug, so took myself off to a guided walk along Felixstowe sea front. I was surprised to see 20+ people ready to walk. We had the wind at our backs and then turned inwards for the return walk. Felt so much better for getting out. We are supposed to have a very cold night tonight but I don't need to be anywhere first thing. All that have to travel - do take care. I am starting to look at the various Peregrine nesting sites - it won't be long until out Ospreys are heading back to the UK.
Sounds like you made the right decision, HARELADY! I'm glad that you enjoyed the walk.
Good that you had the wind at your backs, Harelady. Nice to get some fresh air.
We had a cuppa at sis-in-laws, after my OH had fixed something to the wall for her, outside, and before I oversaw his hanging a clock on the wall, inside. She had four other visitors whilst we were there, so was probably glad when we left!! The house is small but well designed, and beautifully fitted out by the previous owner. She is looking forward to settling down there, and not having so much gardening to do, as this has just a paved area with raised flowerbeds at the rear.
My OH greeted me this morning with the news that he'd just seen a murder! A sparrowhawk had grabbed a sparrow right against our kitchen window, and all that's left now is little rook of feathers in a corner.
Diane- I'm glad you are feeling better and hope YOU are staying warm! It was -2 this morning and has now started snowing what the weatherman says will be 4-6 inches deep when it has finished. will be cold again tonight. I will stay warm and hope you do also. Do you have a furnace? I'm hoping you don't have to rely on only a space heater.
AQ-your G-daughters are just beautiful!
I hope Annette is feeling better also. The statistics on the influenza are a bit scary.
OG-glad you are getting your new car and a scooter too. Just in time for spring.
Lindybird-I really enjoy your poems and the pics of the day.
OG – Dau has a 3-bedroom house. They have tried various pairs in one room, but the odd child claims she is lonely. Lonely, while asleep? Last week the Trio were in one room, wall-to-wall beds. The one waking doesn’t disturb the others. MissL is a great little sleeper, day or night! Mostly it's MissJ who wakes her parents. Since birth she has been managing on lots of short sleeps. She doesn't seem to need much rest. She goes all day, into everything. Sometimes, very rarely, she will snuggle up to me for half a minute, then with “batteries recharged”, she’s away again.

It’s just past 8 am and it’s HOT.
