Diane: I suspect your poor fingers are frozen solid, so started the new thread. :-) Do hope your friendly neighborhood critters show up when the temperatures rise.
Check back for lovely pic of Kingfisher (and more) from Clare; Lindybird's Second Christmas and updates on cruises; OG's plans to attend a masked ball - and more!
I drove all over the local neighborhood today: Library; hardware store; charity shop; Bed, Bath and Beyond (looking for towels); Habitat for Humanity's ReStore warehouse; University's hazardous waste center; County electronic recycling center; pet shop, beauty supply shop; and two supermarkets! Phew!
Relieved to hear that you're OK, Annette, at such a time. It's been in the News here.
Diane, I'm sorry the launch is being rescheduled. Hopefully we can catch it then.
Clare, your cockatiel is adorable, and pretty, too.
It's a bit warmer here today, after being so cold for several days now. Been doing boring things today, including the ironing (again).
HEATHER - trip out wasn't Tuesday (that was a busy housework day)- should have been today but I'd had no sleep (bad news from where we used to live) and was very unwell during the day, so postponed to next week.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Sorry OG, I knew that you had hoped to go out today, not Tuesday. Sometimes I don't know what day it is!
Sorry that you have had bad news and a poor night. Take care and hope that you feel better soon.
OG -- Sorry you've had bad news. Hope you're feeling better now, after being unwell.
Glad to see that you seem to be OK Annette after seeing tonights news about the mud slides. Stay safe , feel it for those who have lost everything and for those that are missing.
Lindy - love the picture of Tomasz.
OG - hope you are feeling better soon and sorry to hear about your unfortunate news.

Thanks for all your news, quickly looked through. See that Rosy was off on a cruise today. Packing for ours will be a nightmare as we are flying back so are restricted to the baggage allowance for the air. Oh well will just have to be ruthless on what I can take - still plenty of time yet, although picked up some bargains in the catalogue sale.
Took down Christmas decs on Saturday, used tree from 2 years ago - put it in the garden, hardly lost any needles so have put it out again, may do again next year!! Have left lights up as they are round the room and are a faf to get down.
Back in the old routine - swimming yesterday and again tomorrow, still at least its some sort of exercise. Munching liquorice allsorts at present whilst writing this.
Lynette: Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts..Mmmmm-Mmmmmm..gorgeous. Do you remember that ad?
OG: Sorry you had a bad night and are fretting about something; any chance it will look better in a few days?
Falling asleep here..... Night all.
Good Morning. Just getting lighter here, and a bit misty again over the fields.
Glad you have not been affected by the shocking events nearby, Annette, but a terrible time for those who are.
I remember Bertie Bassett, and the fun ads for liquorice allsorts. A great favourite of my OH, still - he loves the round coconut ones.
Off out this afternoon to the cinema with Friend - on the way there, two more bags of stuff going to the charity shop.
Today's pic:
"Smile, son -- the tourists like us"
ANNETTE - situation will not look better - just needs acceptance and other phases of grief - ie Friend died - she was also J's Godmother. Funeral next week and we can't get there. I slept last night, so my mind is much easier this morning, and I feel better too. Expecting phone consultation call from doc today, and rising/swivelling seat demo re new car later today.
