Diane: I suspect your poor fingers are frozen solid, so started the new thread. :-) Do hope your friendly neighborhood critters show up when the temperatures rise.
Check back for lovely pic of Kingfisher (and more) from Clare; Lindybird's Second Christmas and updates on cruises; OG's plans to attend a masked ball - and more!
I drove all over the local neighborhood today: Library; hardware store; charity shop; Bed, Bath and Beyond (looking for towels); Habitat for Humanity's ReStore warehouse; University's hazardous waste center; County electronic recycling center; pet shop, beauty supply shop; and two supermarkets! Phew!
Dreadful news from California. It seems so cruel that those who escaped the fires are now faced with this.
I too, hope that Annette is OK.
Very quiet on here today.
To cheer us up, here is a pic I took of my grandson, Tomasz, doing his best impression of an alien!!
Bless! He's clearly a character like his grandmother.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
LOL! Adorable photo, Lindy!
Diane: Tx; am keeping an eye on the clock!
Lindybird: Way too cute to be an alien.
We are fine, but helicopters are up and about again. Lots of dramatic video and photos now showing up from all over the area.
Annette: The launch has been rescheduled for Thursday at the same time. They scrubbed it because of the high winds there.
I hope you will stay safe. I've been following the mudslide updates. That is so awful.
I thought I'd share this photo of one of our adorable cockatiels. This is Gannet sitting on Limpy's legs last night as she successfully made him sit down and rest:
She is a very persuasive bird!
Love pic of Tomasz, LINDY and Gannet, CLARE !
As well as the bad news from California, I heard on radio during the night that more migrants have been drowned off the Libyan coast. They choose to make this journey, I know, but....
Hope that OG enjoyed her trip out yesterday.
Quiet day here but will be cooking for youngest family tomorrow, they are paying a flying visit after school.

Tx Diane: Just came in to watch it but ah well....will see about tomorrow. Interesting re high winds; very calm here. Back to cleaning up the patio....
Clare: Smart bird. I need one to remind me when to rest.
