CLARE - so I could be related to a computer, CLARE :-))))
Thanks, PAT O - I've never been very computer savvy. My son on law came in here the other day bearing a largish cardboard box. He said that it was a new monitor for me, that had been lying around in his workshop for ages. I had to ask him what a monitor was....
LOL, Heather!!
Thanks, MIKE and ALAN. There has been mention in the papers about superfast but I haven't taken much notice. unfortunately. I could ask SiL about these things but he is always so busy and when I see him I forget what it is that I plan to ask about!
Clare, that is the best advice about computers I have ever seen. Treat them as exactly what they are - lumps of plastic and metal - and just be amazed when they do what you want them to, rather than get in a tizzy when they don't!
ALAN - I googled it. Seems as if it is available here but an added extra, has to be ordered. I'll carry on looking.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
CLARE - you can always make me laugh and often, that is just what I need :-))))
The lack of plain English in all things technical just drives me up the wall. Computer people in particular seem to have a language all of their own and they all too frequently use their language to make you feel like a complete moron, even if you have a brain that works in most situations.
LOL! - Laughter is what makes the day go round - or is that the world which turns? Or is that a turn for the worst or a turn around the corner? Or one good turn...... oh never mind!!!
Done the dreaded ironing, and tidied up a bit. Off to do more present wrapping now <sigh> - the pile of Things To Do doesn't seem to get any smaller.
