Welcome to a new week from a sunny spring afternoon in Adelaide.
How sad.
Hope all goes well today, Heather.
Sending you strength, Heather!!!
Quiet on here: I hope that OG is alright, I know that she said she would be too busy to come on for a while.
I've had a mixed day, with some successes and other disappointments - I feel rather tired now and am not able to revive my holiday descriptions.
I hope to have time tomorrow.
Just looked in, been a busy day. Middle daughter and I went for lunch while the trees were getting chopped down. The garden looks very different but much lighter and I feel surprisingly OK and hoping to sleep for a few hours tonight. Last night was a write off.
LINDY- you sound tired. Take care. I think that OG is pretty tired herself and trying to prioritise her time. I'm sure we will see her when she feels a bit stronger.
Hi all. Before I read back , saw about the wildfires in California on the news. Stay safe Annette. I think I recall you saying you lived in Southern California away from the area. Nevertheless is is tragic what has happened but hopefully the community can come together and rebuild themselves up again.

Just read very quickly through. Thanks for all your news. Lindybird your reporting on your cruise makes me want to take that one. There is one on Azura next September calling in at Madeira I think so must look it up. Sounds a like it was a great cruise.
Everyone, stay well despite autumn coming upon us and all the bugs etc that can manifest themselves. Annette, stay safe.
Diane, glad to see you are now home after your weekend of doggy sitting.
Evening all: Back to normal Have been awake all day and brain is now functioning on all cylinders! Have noted Lindybird's comments on Awful Cousin plus lovely pix from cruise ship. I'm going to suggest Madeira to my UK niece; she was in Fuerteventura and found it a bit barren. It looks very much like Santa Barbara with red roofs and bougainvillea. I see that dibnlib had a birthday and enjoyed a good meal out; admired AQ's seriously cute photos of littlies and a report on mail deliveries (we have Saturday deliveries too AQ); that OG is taking a break to take care of all her other projects; that Forestboar has some ongoing family health concerns; that Heather has made bold decisions re the garden and is going off for a weekend away; and that Diane alerted us all to Harvest Moon and has been off dog sitting - and thank YOU Diane for the cheery card.
Hallo also to all I haven't mentioned, but do enjoy posts from everyone! Have now caught up with news; no guarantee I'll remember it all.
Have a good Thursday all.
Good Morning, All. Slept well after going to bed really tired.
Dry wispy clouds outside.
Annette - Glad you're back in circulation and feeling better. Madeira is very popular for the reasons you mention: there are no beaches there but lots of good hotels and year round mild sunny weather.
Going to rush around and pack today, then get ourselves off to Wales again for a quick short break.
Hope Heather is feeling that progress has been made, rather than too upset about what's happened in the garden.
