Thanks, PAT. I'll look! Sorry about the bowls, understand why you might stay indoors next year. I remember loads of phone calls coming here on dreich mornings. Sometimes they would all agree to give it a miss. Other days 'Well, we are just going, probably won't play but we'll have coffee and a blether'.
Quick note before I pack up for the night: J did arrive eventually, Dau and her fiancé met him at Inverness station and they all went home for dinner. Because he is away, OH was able to cook us a lovely Italian lamb's liver dish for our dinner. I am back on ABs again for another UTI (or maybe same one recurring); a bit miffed, but it may explain the extreme tiredness.

Had a busy day: Went off to Cheadle where my OH and I had carrot cake & coffee, and poked around in John Lewis for a present for someone. But came out with only a couple of bathtowels for ourselves..... Also popped into the new branch of Next, where it was chaotic as the Sale was on, so had a quick look and then popped quickly out again!
This afternoon, carefully replaced all my best glassware in the cupboards and my many family photos on the sideboard. The dining room is almost back to normal. I put the new towels in the washing machine and caught a thread on one of them as I did so, with a silver bracelet I was wearing -- it pulled out the thread by over a foot, so have damaged it before it's ever even been used <sigh>
Have had to sign in every time I've been on, over the last few days.

OG- hope that the ABs kick in quickly. No wonder that you are miffed, you have enough to cope with without that. I hate offal but glad that you and EE enjoyed your treat (when the cats away etc).
LINDY- It must feel good to look at the dining room now it is all put back together. I can only imagine that you will feel tired, though, after the upheaval. Sorry about the restless night, do you take meds for your hay fever?
I've got a hairdresser appointment today. Just the weather for it! I'll come out with a sleek look and arrive home with the opposite. At least the weather means that I can forget about garden work.

Well done, Wendy! When we had our last dog, he was very greedy for things he knew were usually off the menu. So we put his tablets into cubes of cheese. Tossed him a cube without a pill, then one with.... down the hatch!
Heather hope the hairdressers goes well. And you stay dry afterwards. I use an inhaler which seems to help with the sneezing, but its been particularly bad this week, even with the use of that. I can't take pills as they make me fall asleep! EDIT: I also think that offal is awffal!
