12:07 a.m. (just after midnight Saturday night) in the eastern U.S.
9:07 p.m. Saturday night in CaliforniaThe July Full Moon is traditionally called the Full Buck Moon or the Full Thunder Moon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Annette - The poetry writing was fragmented this time, as I thought of the first couple of lines right away, then others in my head over the next couple of hours, then finally found time after lunch to scribble it all down with lots of additions, whilst sitting in the garden!
Hope that Heather does not ache too much now after all that gardening...
I can't even begin to imagine great grandchildren yet, still getting used to being "Grandma!" - I had my children in very late 20's and both of mine left having theirs until quite late in their lives.
Phew! Johanna!
Morning all: Supposed to be working on my freelance gig but had one eye on the Konta match and the other on the Murray match, which left no eyes for work. Great that Konta won. :-) Murray's opponent seems to have a temper!
bjane: Nice to see you. How are you doing? Yes, there are several camps in that area near the one that burned and the summer camp season had just got underway, which means hundreds of kids from around the Central Coast area have literally seen their summer plans go up in smoke.
Lindybird: No skills at all with needles here, other than sewing on buttons. It's one skill I wish I had - but have no interest in developing.
Must accomplish something; back later.
Was encouraged to sew by my mother, who could manage most things, and to my shame even made curtains and loose covers, which I wish I had the patience for.
My other sis-in-law can sew anything - could even tailor a suit if needed, as she trained in a professional machinists once.
EDIT: Still watching tennis. -Murray has lost his temper with himself, more than once!
Lindybird: My auntie was a professional seamstress and my sister has made curtains out of bedsheets (in the days when they didn't have entire matching bedroom sets). I also missed out on the cooking gene... We have two channels showing tennis: Murray on one and Nadal on the other. I hear that Roger will be on after this.
OG - I have been reading about the "Coo Palace" in Dumfries!! What a place!
-- everyone else, you can see it if you Google "Coo Palace Dumfries" as it's now been converted to a hotel!
Oh my, the Nadal Mueller match is amazing, with Rafa barely keeping up! Glad to see Roger prevailed.
I can't believe this! Am really rooting for Rafa My stomach is in knots. Can't imagine how these guys keep going - and it's too early for a glass of wine here. :-(
Me too!!
Lindybird: Don't the players - or the umpire for that matter - ever have to go to the bathroom? The mind boggles....
